Tuesday giveaway

About a month ago, I jumped on the hexie bandwagon. Thanks to Texas Freckles, I'm making a charm quilt, so every hexie will be different.

I found this really great Lilly Pulitzer "cheater" fabric. Each square has the bright and happy prints that Lilly Pulitzer is famous for, and each is 4 inches. There are quite a few different  designs in each fabric repeat. But I only need one of each. So....something to give away.

Does anyone want these? Are you making hexies too? If not, what other ideas do you have for this fabric?

Just leave a comment and the random number generator will pick two winners on Thursday, 5 p.m. PST.

Beautiful prints!!
I'm collecting fabric scraps for name pillows for my girls beds, and a picnic quilt - I was thinking of trying a raw-edge circle pattern.

I am making a hexagon quilt using the plastic templates and could use fabric in various prints. But actually I have found a Christian coffee house/restaurant in my area. A friend saw me working on my quilt there and wants to learn how to do this. I'm going to show her the paper template way and this would be a good start for her. BTW, I'm Allison's mom, Ben's mother in law and Clark's grandma!

Grace said... #

Oh I could use these I love making hexagons. Thanks for the chance.

This could give me a push to learn to make hexagons. I would make some hexagons from my scraps that match in size/colors the cheater cloth. Then, would mix the larger uncut sections of the cheater cloth with those hexies. That way can get the best of both worlds!

yeah I have been known to cheat and having this fabric would be the kind of cheating I like to do! What a great head start on a new project!

What a simple and genius idea. I've never been much for panels or cheater cloths but I would love to try cutting them up to use as hexagons.

I just learned how to make hexies from my quilt guild (P'land Modern) and would love to make hexies from this! I am finding all my scraps to make hexies with are strange things from projects I have made for my 3 year old daughter...translation = pink, princesses, sesame street, and more pink! So something a little more um, not pink, would be great!

I've been doing hexies so long that I'm not sure I can honestly say I'm still working on it - the poor project has been neglected for at least a year. However, I love this fabric, and I make lots of scrap quilts with all different fabric squares, so some bright Lilly prints would work very nicely. Thanks for the chance to win!

Pam said... #

Ohhh I would love this fabric!!! Thanks for the chance to win!

That is so incredibly pretty! I would use this fabric to make the cutest girlie-girl aprons.
