Our son, Aaron, is 33 years old. This is a picture taken of him when he was 4.
Christa took this picture of Levi yesterday, and he is nearly at the same age now as when his father's picture was taken. See the resemblance?
This little boy has a tight grasp on my heart.
So does this little princess, who turned 5 yesterday and had a Fancy Nancy party a week ago.
Speaking of royalty, Royal Mail arrived this week. Gotta love that. One package contained a bee block, which I will show at another time. And the other contained a "texty" fabric exchange. Thanks, Kerry!!
So here's a question for you. Let's say you are going a quilt retreat and being picked up at the airport by bloggy friends you haven't actually met in person. Yet. And let's say they tell you they are stopping at IKEA before they come to the airport. What do you do in this situation?
Well, give them a shopping list of course!! I had seen these little egg-shaped containers online somewhere. Probably in a picture of another sewing room. And "needed" them! Right now they are storing thread. Until I think of something better. *sigh* It's so nice to have friends who will be your personal shoppers. Even before they know if they will actually like you or not.
I'm ending the randomness this week with some pictures Mark took. And they aren't even "drive-by shootings"! He actually stopped and got out of his truck. It's the end of peach season. I spent four summers working in a peach-packing shed. Fortunately I still love this luscious fruit. I will miss it.

Gorgeous photos - he's such a cutie, just like his dad! I haven't seen those IKEA egg containers - will have to look out for them next time I'm there!
What a resemblance! A happy home to the texty fabrics too!
OMG, I love those texty fabrics!!!!! If you've got any leftovers, I could give them a lovely home :) And wow, you're right, I love those photos of Aaron and Levi! So cute! Thanks for giving me another reason to go to IKEA, I hadn't seen those little egg shaped guys before...
Such cute pictures! Peaches are so yummy... right I know what I'm having for dessert now!!
So cute!
I just picked up some MI peaches at the grocery store and am really looking forward to them. And apples. They are the crunchiest in Sept and Oct!
It is good living near MI in the fall!
LOVE the text prints! Whats the green sewing machine one? I've never seen it before...
I have those eggy things in my kitchen. I don't have any drawers (weird, I know) so they store all my cutlery, hanging on the wall. They are very cute! I've wanted to get some more for a while now, to grow kitchen herbs in.
those peachy pictures are great! i love the one with the sun's rays shining down!
Oh my do they ever look alike! I am drooling over that fabric you got!
Happy Birthday to Aaron and the princess! What a great week for celebrations! Love seeing your IKEA containers in action. Great idea to fill them with threads and notions. I continue to be impressed with Mark's drive-by-shooting skills!
What an adorable little grandson!
The little princess is adorable, too!
Your grandkids are darling! Love the photos. Jealous of the texty swap...yum. And good call on the shopping list, I'd do the same!
Those boys! With their big eyes and head full of hair. Those pictures would be cute framed next to one another.
Have a great time on your retreat!
Well, I learned something new about you today. No wonder Mark told me to ask you about peach fuzz. ;)
Adorable kids... all 3 of them!
YES, such a remarkable resemblance!!! How fun...seems like everyone I know is going on a quilt retreat. I was going to go to the retreat at Bass Lake that Sinta hosts, but I cannot get up there. Soon, my grandson will be in school, and I will have more freedoms to do those fun things I so enjoy and miss.
PS....is your husband in law enforcement?
Cute kiddiwinks of all ages; great pots and fabrics; and peaches, so lucky - I worked too many summers packing strawberries!
I love your randomness, Cindy!! Here's another "sis" thing....growing up in western Colorado I spent most summers as a teenager picking cherries. My mother and grandmother both worked for a canning factory many years. Oh....how many jars of peaches did I help can during the month of August? I even have a picture of my husband (then boyfriend) peeling peaches on the picnic table outside while we helped Mom fill jars with the wonderful goodness! !
Your Randoms make me happy. :)
Happy birthday to your son Aaron! Great photos of the grandchildren.....both so cute! I haven't seen those egg containers and I was just in IKEA...hmm may need to go back. So are you still enjoying your photo class?
That fact that you would give people you hadn't met yet an IKEA list is precisely why we make such good non-acquaintance friends! We think so much alike...
I would grab IKEA stuff for you. I try not to, but I love that place. The nearest is a five-hour drive but I can't go by car to a city with one without popping in.
We just finished the last of our peaches two weeks ago from a local farm. My 2 year old loves them, so I was sad to see them go! I made peach cobbler with what was left, I guess now it is onto apple pie!
can i just say that i LOVE your really random posts?!?!
i'm happy to be your personal shopper, dear. it's fun to see them in use. glad they got to you safe and sound!
oh, i miss living close to a peach orchard. such. a. treat.
hope your retreat is going awesomely!
That grandson is so cute, very very cute, in fact. And I liked all the rest too: texty fabrics, shots of the peach orchard, the general "fall is here let's celebrate" feeling of this post.
We're still hot here (95 or something today) and I'm stuck in the Grading Galaxy. Hopefully by this weekend I'll be done and back to quilting.
Carry on!
Elizabeth E.
Such a cutie pie. I really love those egg shaped containers!
