I own a fat quarter of every single print in the Fossil Fern line. Yes, I belonged to the Fossil Fern club and would get ten fat quarters every month.
They have been sitting on a shelf. I'm trying to use a little bit in each block of Crazy Traditions. Can you find it?
Here is Kerry's new paper piecing pattern, Winter Woolies. It's available for download in her etsy shop.Isn't it adorable? Next week I'll show my version. I have fabric that looks like actual knitting. Perfect. (There might even be a chance to win a pattern!)
Say this three times, really fast.Have you started making your list? I feel like Sarah came up with this idea with me specifically in mind. Nah. There are probably a lot of you out there that would benefit from a little accountability, right?
I'm reading this book. Highly recommended.
When I took this picture, my mother complained that her hands looked so old. She is 83. Gabriel's one-week-old hand on top of hers just about makes my heart burst with love for them both.
This one gives me the same reaction as well. Mark surrounded by three loves in his life. Does it ever amaze you how much power little people can have over you?
And the little guy in the corner with that big smile? The other day he said to me, "Grandma, I love you too much to argue." Hmm. There is the possibility that he has heard that from his mommy. But I'm not about to argue with him...

Random but good. Love the little insights!
What Laura said! Love it!
I love random! It's how my brain works too. That hands picture is very special. Thanks for sharing it, and the family picture too. You have some huggables there!
"I love you too much to argue" That is just too cute! Hopefully he carries some of that through life, eh? :)
I am looking forward to your version of the woolies pattern. :)
The photos at the end are so touching! And thankyou Cindy!
I just got my book from Riel yesterday. Can't wait to start reading it!
Your grandchildren are adorable! Love the smile!!
Great randomness!! I love the idea of loving too much to argue. The hand picture is priceless.
That picture of the hands is so beautiful :)
Those last two pics are wonderful! And the last one brought tears. Aw, Grandpa.....
P.S. Your mother's hands DO look old... they are! And she should wear them proudly! :)
What a delightful post. Congratulations on the new grandbaby. Your comment about your Mom's hand, with the baby's hand next to it, and how you burst with love for them both, squeezed my heart!!
"I love you too much to argue"? I HAVE DIED OVER HERE. So, so cute.
Love the randomness of today! Especially the hands. Nothing like hands and feet pictures!
That was a lovely random post, Cindy. I have a photo of my son in my mom's hands when he was just as tiny and it is a fav for sure. Their two hands together in your photo are so beautiful. Can't wait to see your mittens all sewn up with that special fabric - sounds too perfect!
Cindy, The pictures of the hands are of course wonderful -- can't argue with that. But I must comment on the drained lake pic. That is so up my alley. I agree, creepy. And thanks again for the mention of the book!!! You're the best. R
Randomly good! The photo of the hands reminds me of my own dear mother's hands. Look forward to seeing your take on Kerry' fab pattern! Knitting fabric- that will look amazing!
I always look forward to your random posts and you didn't let me down again this week. It was fun to see the baby among the other two grandies....Love it! The hands picture is great. You should have someone take a pic of YOUR hands holding the baby too! When I look down and my hands, I see my mother's ..maybe you will see yours as well!
Wonderful collection of randomness!
And it DOES amaze me. I say this moments after being sneezed on by my nine and a half month old nephew who was trying to eat my necklace.
Cindy, love your random posts! I learn so much from them. I have also started Riel's book and like it too. Your family pictures are wonderful, and your grandson's quote is adorable!
These photos are lovely :)
Those photos of the wee ones are awesome. Yes, it's amazing how they make our lives so complete.
