Deck the Halls winner!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by to check out my tutorial for the selvage Christmas tree. I hope you had a chance to check out all the tutorials because there are some really great ideas. Here is a picture to give you an idea of the fun projects that Jennifer helped put together. Although the giveaways are closed, it's not too late to start one of these creative projects for this holiday season.
11/28: Petit Lyons
12/4: Jednoiglec

The winner of the $20 gift certificate is No. 171, Barb, who said:

I love the traditional colors of red and green with splashes of white and royal blue all enhanced by bits of silver and gold.

Barb, I'll contact zip-it and get your contact information to them.

We did a little bit of vintage decking the halls ourselves--I had Mark get this Christmas card mailbox down from the rafters. It's something I painted in the 1970s and some of the painting has been scratched off over the years. It's been years since we've gotten it down and it's kind of nice to have around again.
Are you working on any holiday sewing/creating this weekend?

Yay for a bit of vintage decorating! I've been sewing my little socks off since I got home from work last night, and so far I've got on 24" block done, 2 12" blocks with inset circles and 2 paper pieced wall hangings done (well, the tops anyway, and as it's now 1:15 am, I'll be leaving the quilting and binding til tomorrow!) Tomorrow I need to get cracking on the quilt blocks for my parents' Christmas quilt. I'm 2 rows' worth down, with 3 rows to go...

Elsa and I went to a friend's house and made some graham cracker cookie houses. It was a ton of fun. I need to do some sewing tomorrow!

Congrats Barb. Today I've just been sorting out my sewing room trying to get ready to sew more but I did get a chance to help my son's girlfriend make a mini tree skirt and that was fun. I also made an adorable Christmas envelope from the book Ruby Star Wrapping.

Thanks for picking me to win! I just popped over to the Zipit website, and what fun products to choose from. I'm doing a little rearranging of furniture to get ready for decorating--just setting the stage, and I have some last minute projects to get made. Guess I'd better get to it!!
