Mark loves to buy me flowers, usually from Trader Joe's. He looks for bouquets that have lilies. Aren't these orange lilies beautiful?
As a side note, this combination of orange, purple and bright pink is one of my favorite fabric combos currently as well.
I'm not sure what this orange and yellow flower is, but I sure think it's beautiful.
I don't have much to write about this week--still resting and reading, and yesterday for the first time in weeks I felt so much better. So I think I'm on the mend, but will continue to be very cautious.Mark spends so many afternoons reffing football. I'm not sure where he found this but it seems true enough.
A few months ago I purchased a book called Modern Crochet by Teresa Carter. I just finished a set of coasters and plan on making another set. What I love about these is the simple crochet pattern that mimics the look of knitting.Levi put his picture on Mark's iPhone home screen, kind of as a joke. But if Mark ever changes it, he just puts it back on. Silly boy. He is so handsome.
Need a new tote bag?
It makes this grandma's artist heart so proud. And there is a little bio on the back of each card.
And yes to this...
Have a happy weekend.

Cute crocheted coasters! Love your grandson’s artwork!
Levi’s prank on Mark is the cutest.
I love Gabe’s art.
Agree with the Daily Show’s take - what can those poor health care workgroup! ?!
The flower is most likely a Gerbera. Do you have photos of your Dahlias that you planted this year?
Gabe's art work is to be admired. All your grandchildren seem to take after their grandma in the artistic crafty department.-
Lovely flowers, Cindy! Your husband is thoughtful, but mine is too, in the opposite way. I've always told him to save his money and NOT buy flowers for me because flowers die and he'll have nothing to show for spending his money. I'm too practical I guess. But if he wants to buy me a plant... Love those crocheted coasters! But the practical side of me wants to know how well they wash in the machine, and will the rings tolerate washing? :-) Very cool about turning the artwork into cards. Wonder who taught who that? Grandma making calendars with her quilt art, or Gabe making notecards with his art?
