Papa Bear, Mama Bear, Baby Bear.
Mark and I didn't drink a drop from any of these. But we know bartenders who "take care" of us. Mark will slump them like this:
and turn them into cool serving trays for peanuts or crackers. Being greedy--keeping all three.
My friend, Deborah, has a cabin across the lake from Lakeview Cottages. I met Deborah and her sister, Kerry, for lunch yesterday. While there, I spied this, a seatbelt bag purse. I have a seatbelt bag: it is all black. I like this "one in every color" version much better. The owner of the purse gladly let me take a picture of it. Her husband, however, looked at me like I was nuts.I didn't even try to explain about bloggers and their picture-taking habits...
Then we walked about five minutes to her cabin. It's wonderful!
Her little green Featherweight, Luella, met my little green Featherweight, Bonnie. It was a totally momentous occasion. And I didn't take a picture of it, but I know they will be good friends, too.
Last week I wrote about my "crush" on the color orange. Deborah hadn't read my post yet, but she bought this for me!
PERFECT for taking little sewing projects on the go!
What random things are happening in your life?
I love your random things!
ReplyDelete:) Love it! Totally random thing going on today--- I have to put on a little party for my 8 yr old son and a bunch of his friends. I'm hanging out online, procrastinating at having to go the the store and planning what's all going to go on this afternoon. :) It'll be fun and I'll really be happy when it's over!
ReplyDeleteCool snack trays from those vodka bottles! I have never actually seen a seat belt purse in person. I like that one with the multi colors. I'm totally crushing on your Orange Crush lunch box! That is an awesome find!!
ReplyDeleteLove the multicolored seatbelt purse - I've never seen a multicolored one before, just the all-black ones! Those bottle trays are really awesome, too :)
ReplyDeleteYou learn something new everyday. Thanks for the info. I have a long list to do today, I goofed off yesterday.
ReplyDeleteI love the colored seat belt purse. It is fabulous and I can't think of anyone who deserves that Orange Crush container more than you.
ReplyDeleteOh my....we so want to come stay in your charming cabins. Maybe next summer. I have that same lunch box. I was going to do a "crush" blog about it too. Your friend's cabin is charming!!!
ReplyDeleteHow do you "slump" the bottles? I just paid too much money for one.
ReplyDeleteLove your fun and random things! You and Mark are both so creative.
ReplyDeleteMy random thing today... trying to convince myself that 41 straight days of 100 degree heat isn't that bad.
Jennifer :)
What a fun post! My little grand daughter, Lula, carries all of her Strawberry Shortcake dolls around in a little lunch pail....maybe I need to get one. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteRandom info: we have our attic fan on and the windows open today! Woo Hoo!( Sorry, Jennifer!)
I've never heard of a seatbelt purse before but it does look rather nice, and that is a lovely cabin - what a place to escape to!
ReplyDeleteWe enjoyed a morning at Border's spending 2010 Halloween gift cards from Grandma 'Sota. I am really pleased with their choices. Simon chose a Lego City sticker book: he loves doing and reading sticker books. Norah decided on 2 tiny books. One is The Tale of Peter Rabbit (she adores these "little books" and checks out one each library visit). The other is a "The Very Hungry Caterpillar". Tiny sized to carry around all the time.
ReplyDeleteI know why I do not go to book stores. New books are lovely and really nice. I picked out a few extras. SInce my kids giggled and giggled reading 2 Elephant and Piggie Books, I could not leave them on the little table to be re-shelved. The book we read and enjoyed while there and left there was "Along a Long Road". Delightful!
Making chocolate chip cookies is also on today's to do list.
I may also start printing work related papers to get organized for the start of school.
I ADORE your new Crush lunchbox!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI randomly got my package from you in the mail and I know what I'm going to do with it. I wasn't worried that you had forgotten I was worried that it was lost somewhere between you and me!
ReplyDeleteI've got a crush on your lunchbox (geddit?). Awesome!
ReplyDeleteLove that lunchbox! Very fun. Random: My dad likes Grey Goose vodka. I've always liked those slumped serving trays. I think they are very clever. I really dig that multicolored seatbelt purse! And my husband totally makes fun of my photography habits now that I blog! LOL.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea that you have spent a lot of time on that lake--hope there is a Farmer's Wife block that has the idea of lakeside living--so appropriate for you.
ReplyDeleteWe've had a harried week (I feel like I've been living inside a front loading washing machine, going round and round!) so the thought of sewing at a lake in COMPLETELY appealing to me. Hope you enjoy your time there--I love the photos you post!
