Welcome to Live a Colorful Life. It's Sew Mama Sew's Giveaway Day and I'm so happy you stopped by.
Included in the giveaway are two patterns designed by me, the latest issue of Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks (which includes one of my blocks), and a charm pack of California Girl by Joanna Figueroa for Fig Tree and Co. (because I'm a girl from California).
One of my favorite holiday traditions is "soup and cookie" day where our son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren come over for homemade soup. Then while Aaron and Christa are off shopping, or just having some quiet time at Starbucks, the grandchildren and I make homemade cookies. This year we made these:
For a chance to win the giveaway, leave a comment letting me know if you have a special holiday tradition. If you are follower, leave another comment for a second chance. All readers are welcome. The giveaway ends on Friday, December 13, at 5 p.m. PST.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will stop by again.

Every year we eat the same things for dinner on Christmas Eve; all the favorites we have.
Love the Fig Tree fabrics. Yes, my favorite tradition is our Christmas Eve program produced by our adult children for our family. It's memorable every year, and I can't wait to see what they come up with this year.
I live in Bulgaria, Europe. On the Christmas Eve we have to put on the table odd vegetarian dishes 7 or 9. Thanks!
I love hanging out with my kids and make crafts together
Love my family tradition of making a new breakfast every Christmas morning, no repeats.
We have family story for 35 nights before Christmas. The two kids, the hubs and I all pick a single book, cuddle in our Jammie's and I read the book aloud. The tradition culminates on Christmas Eve with new Christmas Jammie's for everyone and a reading of 'Twas the Noght Before Christmas.
We love to drive around at night time to check out the Christmas lights and decorations!!

I've made a tradition with my boys to bake goodies, they love it!
Thank you for the chance.
This is the second year I've taken an evening off from the kids and gone out with the local ladies to make a gingerbread house. Its so fun, I'm hoping it becomes a permanent fixture.
My tradition used to be to take a day of vacation and bake all day. With a toddler, that's not as practical. But this year I started what I hope is a new tradition - decorating cookies with her.
Those cookies are so cute! Our family tradition is putting the Christmas tree up on the 1st December. Thanks for the lovely giveaway.
