Ruby

This is Ruby.
She just turned 2. But when she was born two years ago, "Ruby" the fabric had just become available. I ordered it and started making her quilt. Fast forward to this past weekend when I finally finished it! Isn't it so cute?
I found the alphabet pattern here.
Every selvage was incorporated into the blocks. Can you see it there in the corner?
Flannel on the back. So soft.
Cute binding (the binding is from "scrumptuous").
The label was made from a leftover block.
And with three more leftover blocks and some extra fabric, I made a doll quilt.
Perfect for playing hide and seek with Daddy.
Happy birthday, Ruby!

Since it's Friday and I have a finish, I'm linking up here, here and here.

I am looking for a pattern or a book that contains the RW&B quilt that was in your block from 06-10-2013. It was the next to the last picture in the blog. You referenced Bluepatch Quilter before and after the picture. Ellene Place suggested that I come to your website/webpage to find out more. My aunt is looking for this pattern/book because she would like me to make her one. Can you help?

How sweet is that! The little girl is adorable, the selvages left in are a great detail (she'll love that when she starts recognizing her own name!), the letter blocks and the fabrics! And a doll quilt to match! What a lucky little girl :-)

What a cutie! Great quilt and so neat that it matched her name. Now I don't feel so bad about not getting the newest grandson's quilt done yet. He won't be one until May so hopefully before then it will be done. ;- )
