And at the same time, the grandkids came over for the morning. The weather was nice. We ate bagels and cream cheese outside. It was nice.
Tuesday night, dear friends from Kansas spent the night in Fresno and we got to spend some time with them. We have known them for 42 years. Crazy!
Yesterday I was picking up my Honda Pilot from having some recall work done. I saw this sign next to the cashier. We have known Corey for years. I'm not sure what the toptech zone competition involved but he did really well. Way to go,Corey!
Have you read "The Day the Crayons Quit"? I didn't think there could be a children's book as great as that one. I was wrong.
Inspiration for future quilts. Do you have a collection of photos like this too?
Too much inspiration surrounds me. Which is why this might apply...
Ah....candy through the decades.
Have you noticed that there are coloring books everywhere?I have heard that studies are showing that coloring can be very calming and therapeutic. If that is true, then I'm pretty sure I wouldn't buy this one.
Or maybe that's the one I need...

AWhen I was an educator starting schools was end of summer for me, but now I am retired and I enjoy still free days with nice weather!!! Table full of those coloring books are in the stores here in The Netherlands too, I love too look for inspiration in those books. You are right: Inspiration everywhere!!
Cute pics of your grandkids!
I've been seeing a lot of coloring books lately, too. Some of the simpler drawings in some of them would make nice applique designs, especially for kids' quilts. The millefiore designs like La Passacaglia are everywhere, too. You're right, lots of inspiration!.
I have a colouring book and find it very relaxing. Lots of inspiration in them too!
Oh gosh....I love the F word in the sewing room cartoon! I can't believe school has started already either. Some of our grands went back a week ago last Monday! How ridiculous is that?
I always love your random Thursdays, Cindy. Enjoy the weekend.
This was a great Random Thursday Cindy. You had me laughing several times. I especially like the F word poster in relation to the studio. Just want to say seeing your smiling face on the sidebar also makes me smile. It's such a nice photo of you.
Fun randomness for this week (and I thought I'd already commented on this one--guess not!). I love the new school year starting, but wish that I could have the weather I grew up with when this time of year rolls around: summer on the wane and crisp Autumn ahead. Instead we are all still sweltering! Stay cool.
