Really Random Thursday, 2/27/20

The weather has been so nice here. Last week it was way too nice to stay indoors. So Gabe, Ella and I cleaned up the outdoor furniture, had our snacks on the porch of Periwinkle Cottage, and did a little spring cleaning.

Ella tested all the bubble makers.
Gabe organized all the balls that were stored in the shed.
They each found a photo op that matched what they were wearing.

Then they grabbed some rocks and did some painting.

Gabe painted a rock for each month of the year. Although for some reason I can't find the heart for February.
He also painted one for me that says "you rock." Ha!

After all the years as a medical transcriber for an orthopedic surgeon, this made me chuckle.
Levi had his last basketball game on Friday.
I found a typo on this fabric.
Our good friends were on the Ellen Show last Friday. Terron is a sixth grade teacher, and has been confronting his fears as a way of helping his students confront theirs. If you watch Ellen with any regularity, you know that she loves to scare guests by having someone jump out of the box next to them. She found out Terron is afraid of clowns. I've read that Terron's reaction is one of her all-time favorites.
Terron and Kristina are an amazing couple and it was such fun watching them on the Ellen Show!

Truth...
That's it for this week.

Love that Family circus! It is a good reminder of the simpler things. I used to watch for that every Sunday in the paper.

I love seeing the crafts you make with the children. The monthly rocks are inspired! I found a rock crossing at the Indiana welcome center and it was a lot of fun to pick one to take home.

Hey there, Cindy! Love seeing your doin's at Periwinkle Cottage. It's such a charming place, and great for making memories. You're so fortunate. I completely relate to your friend's fear of clowns. I don't like them either. Have to smile about the fabric misprint. I saved a half dozen misprinted selvedges and worked them into my selvedge skirt. Your funnies are pretty cute, especially the last one that rings so true. Keep having fun, as it seems you are

On another note... please know that I have removed my blog from Bloglovin' and closed my account. After sending numerous requests to Bloglovin' (and being ignored) asking them to block sex sites from following me, I had enough. I am sure I have lost hundreds of legitimate blog-followers, but I couldn't, in good conscience, allow that to continue.

Hey Cindy, I saw that Ellen show and thought those 2 people were absolutely amazing. And here they are friends of yours. Doesn't the world seem a little smaller sometimes. (-: Thanks again for a lovely post and how wonderful to have warm weather. We are still with snow and very cold and windy here in London, Ontario. This too will change someday. Teehee. Cheers Cindy.

As a former medical administrative type, I found your medical quote a little, well, punishing. And I laughed out loud. How fun to see people you know and like on TV.
