Really Random Thursday, 12/9/21

I have so little to write about this week, although I have been sewing. This just came back from the quilter and I'll try to get the binding sewn on today. I bought the fabric (Cozy and Magical by Maureen Cracknell) from Stitch Supply when I was there in July. I love the line because it's Christmas-y but in nontraditional colors so it can stay out through the winter months.

I would love to have this clock. There are many, many clocks throughout our house and this quirky version would be such a fun addition.
An easy idea for snacks on Christmas evening.

Before Pete and Jane left, we gave them two quilts. One is on their bed.

The other one is hung on a high wall--which required a bit of thought and a tall ladder!

Aaron, Christa and Charlotte left yesterday for a few glorious days in New York City, where it is  supposed to be quite chilly. After I picked Charlotte up the other day and her teeth were chattering, I told her she needs this sweatshirt. Although to give her the benefit of the doubt, when it is grey and foggy here in Fresno, it is quite bone chilling. Mark, who grew up in Minnesota, will confirm that as well.
The kids at church had their annual Christmas program on Sunday night. Gabe portrayed Joseph, and did a great job.

And that's it for this week. Levi, Gabe and Ella are with us while Aaron, Christa and Charlotte are in NYC. We have some activities planned. So maybe there will be more to write about next week.

Have a good weekend.

Seeing gifted quilts in use is always a treat. Been there hanging quilts in high places. We have special wood block rigged so a ladder can rest on the stairs in order to hang a quilt on a high wall. Hope you're having fun with the Grands and enjoying the Christmas season.

So nice that you have another Christmas quilt that's nearly finished. It's a beauty. Ooo, I love what your friends did with your quilts, especially the one in the kitchen! It's really eye-catching there. I only hope it doesn't collect too much grease and dust! How delightful to get to see the kids perform the nativity story, and what an honor for you to have your own Joseph. So sweet. Our granddaughter is living in NYC now, and it will be interesting to hear her take on her first winter there.

Hanging that quilt looks like a dangerous job! Both quilts look great in their new home.enjoy the kids while the rest of the family is in NYC.
