Really Random Thursday, 3/17/22

Happy St. Patrick's Day. Do you have any kind of special celebration?

Mark and I had the St. Patrick's Day cookie selection from Crave Cookies delivered to Aaron, Christa and the kids. It's not every day that you can eat a cookie with Lucky Charms on top.

Last Saturday we saw another performance of the play that Charlotte was in, but this time she was the understudy to the lead, so it was a major part. She was amazing!! We are so glad we saw both versions, and we particularly enjoyed this one.

It was very cool that the other understudy lead was Tara (in the bright red dress), her very good friend from middle school. We are so proud of her. Her voice is incredible and she is such a natural on the stage.

Haha...
I finished the audible version of this book, narrated by the actor, Bronson Pinchot. I cannot recommend this more highly. He is an excellent narrator and it is a haunting and beautifully written book. I would definitely listen to this one again.
Mark sent this one to our bookworm, Charlotte.

Mark and I are trying to branch out and try new restaurants instead of going to the same places over and over. Yesterday, we went to Butterfish and tried a poke bowl for the first time. They were very good.

Apparently the Senate passed a bill that would make Daylight Savings Time permanent year around. Do you have thoughts about that?

And finally, this might not be a bad idea.

Happy weekend.

I don't particularly like the idea of year round daylight savings time. I would like to do away with it all together. I heard that gas was 5.25 a gallon at Costco in CA last week. EEEEkk!!

Congrats to Charlotte on her talents and you guys too on such a special granddaughter. You must be very proud of her. I'm only beginning to imagine going to events/sports with our grandson. But it will be awhile as he's only 6 months old.

Not a dab of Irish blood here, so we don't do a thing for St. Paddy's Day. Heck, even with my birthday the following day (always, always falls during spring break... and Lent) we didn't do much. Well, we went out to dinner, which we rarely do (hadn't eaten Chinese food for more than two years!) - and apparently you do all the time! Nice that you could see Charlotte perform, and appreciate her talents. I like your funnies, especially the mask/gasoline one. Have you heard this one? Question: What's the blue book value of my car? Response: Is that with a full gas tank or an empty gas tank?
