Really Random Thursday, 3/24/22

Let's begin with a word nerd update.

So many things wrong with this one...

The grandkids were over on Monday because there was no school. Charlotte mentioned that she was in the mood to bake cinnamon rolls. She did not have to mention it twice. They were SO good!

I finished two books this past week. I'm not sure if was just one of those weeks, but I didn't particularly like any of the characters in The Christie Affair, not even the beloved Agatha Christie.

I listened to the audible version of this book. The story was good but I didn't particularly care for the narrator, who can make all the difference. I wouldn't say she was bad; she just wasn't one of my favorites. This is the first in a series and it ended with a cliffhanger so I'm sure I'll keep going.

Mark and I made some new friends, Alvin and Ruth Ann--they have been in Fresno off and on for the last several months (they live in Ohio) as they helped remodel their son and daughter-in-law's house. Ruth Ann and I would meet for coffee once or twice a week. We bonded right away. Now they are on their way back home. But on Friday night, Mark and I went to a local nursery that has a lot of food trucks and there they were. We were able to see them one last time, so I made sure Mark took a photo of us.

This sweater fascinated me. So much texture going on. I'm assuming it's vintage. What do you think?

Just in case...
Till next week...

  3. Now I'm going to have to make cinnamon rolls...your rolls look delicious. The sweater definitely looks vintage, I'd say 70's.

  4. Charlotte is a bad influence. I've been ignoring my urge to make cinnamon rolls because I'm not supposed to eat anything in them but the cinnamon. I may just make them anyway considering how delicious those look. I'm glad you made a new friend, sorry they're kinda far away. And your memes are on point this week, as usual.
