I miss the ocean and I miss Pacific Beach, so I spent extra time looking at all your photos: not only the ones of the beautiful quilt, but also the beautiful landscape where you photographed it. I loved how in one photo the pink of the flowers are sort of reflected in the quilt! What a fun quilt, with all the right quilty fabrics!OPQuilthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08622702911207665333noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-527612360558538909.post-7656410674517224782022-09-03T07:42:04.798-07:002022-09-03T07:42:04.798-07:00Looks like this Tall Tales book-making project was...Looks like this Tall Tales book-making project was perfect for you and your stash! Wow. I couldn't have made such a quilt. You have the ideal fabrics for all of it, including your selvedges. Love the library card backing fabric. And your photos are beautiful! I've never seen ice plants, nor such pretty blooms. Mark gets extremely high points in the "amenable husband" department! It came out great and was so much fun. The novelty options one can use for the books...it's incredible! Your much larger quilt is even more fun and more wonderful. I adore the selvedge titles, the photo setting and everything about your project. Thanks so much for sharing a great pattern.thatfabricfeeling.wordpress.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00207386494389486604noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-527612360558538909.post-2123959702978778452022-09-01T15:55:56.473-07:002022-09-01T15:55:56.473-07:00I made a quilt with the Tall Books pattern that fe...I made a quilt with the Tall Books pattern that featured novelty and picture prints as covers. Fun to guess what the books might be about! :) I have at least one more book quilt in me (the former one is going as a quilt bingo prize for the Baltimore Modern quilt guild this coming April).

Love the selvedge usage! Hope I retain that idea.
