Carla and I thought we should post a little progress report on Farmer's Wife Friday. You know--to keep us accountable...
So....having been gone for ten days, and then trying to get caught up, and trying spend as much time as possible with these three little people (because we were gone for ten days!...and sadly Ruby is at the coast and I haven't been able to see her yet...)...
I don't really have so much progress to report.
As you know, there is a total of 111 blocks. I don't want a ginormous quilt, so 21 blocks are going on the back. In fact, these are the 21 relegated to the back. Some of them I don't like at all. Some are okay, but I wouldn't make again if you paid me.
The rest are in piles on the floor, for a further update later on. Maybe next month...
Pathetic update, right? Yes, I think so too...
But I think Carla is going to bail me out and actually show you what our setting blocks will look like. Hopefully...if I were you, I would head over there now because there is not much going on here.
Oh, but something really important: the giveaway winner of this super cute pattern by Row House Creations
is Anita, who said:
I would love to win a copy of her pattern! I was one of the followers to
got lost in the move and still can't seem to reconnect somehow. Not
sure why. Thanks for the chance to win this great pattern, love it!
Congratulations, Anita!
Have a nice weekend, everyone!

Hey, family have to come first! Who could resist that little cutie!?
At least you finished the blocks!
http://sewmuchtosay.blogspot.com
I just love your blocks done in the solids!
Well that photo certainly drew me into reading your post! Adorable! And the blocks are lovely. Sometimes we are our own worst critics..........
Not pathetic at all, Cindy! I'm no further along than you. I am interested in the "have nots" that are going on the back....some of them are the very same ones that I dislike as well....others, though, like the baskets, I love!
What size quilt will you end up with? Don't you wish that we had a magic wand at this point? LOL
Lol, sure, we've all the time in the world to see the quilt finished :o)
After completing the Farmer's marathon, you deserve a break x
I bet it feels good to have all the blocks finished. I bet it will feel even better to have them pieced together. In the meantime, its probably nice to have the break.
I can see why you would miss those little ones!
The blocks all look terrific to me.
Aw, so cute! I love whimsy!
Hugs - Lurline.
I agree, family have to come first. I have only made 26 easy blocks so far, perhaps I don't need to make all 111, especially as you haven't enjoyed the process. Looking forward to seeing how you put them together.
What cutie grandbabies!!!! I've had 2 of mine for 3 days this week. (Not in a row and older.) First 2 nights and Bailee says she'd like to make a quilt for her bed. I told her we'll plan a week stay and we can actually finish it. we've done purses and wallhangings, but if they are to ride the horse and hike, we need a week. :o)
How does a person get onto the drawings? and what a great way to pass on extras!!
Not a pathetic update! Live is busy, and you've got all your blocks done. I still haven't started! :-) Had fun meeting Amy! Sent her a hug for you!
