I had planned on having more to show, but then the cold virus hit. So on Monday, instead of sewing, I spent a big chunk of the day on the couch. I hate actually having the time to sew and then not being able to use it...
More work on my "village" quilt:
Block 1.
Block 2.
Farmer's Wife is up and running again.
Trimmed some HSTs. I used the method where you sew around all four sides of two squares of fabric right sides together and then slice them in half diagonally. I wasn't sure I would like that method, with all the bias edges. But it turned out quite well.
And one finish. A completed tooth fairy pillow, for a little girl who has already lost her first tooth and has another one almost ready to fall out. It's not everyday you see a pink tooth wearing a ballet tutu...
Thanks, Lee, for hosting this every week.
I'm extending the giveaway time until 6 p.m. PST today to enter the giveaway for Jeni's bag pattern.

Your village quilt is going to be so neat! I love all the differences in the blocks. And that tooth is hysterical, I love it!
Awww, cute tooth fairy pillow! I need to get one of those done soon. My daughter's two front teeth have been wiggly for what seems like months! Thanks for linking up to WIP Wednesday. : )
I'm sorry you've been sick! The tooth fairy pillow made me smile...so cute!
You always have fab finishes. Sorry you've been ill.
Oh the tooth fairy is brilliant - my girls have no wobblers yet but keep trying to leave lego, paper and anything else they can find under their pillows to try an trick 'her'!
Lol, love the tooth in the tutu
Nice work. Sorry you aren't well, and I hope you're back up and around soon. I was sick as a dog all last week, too. It sucks. Take care of yourself!
Aww, I'm sorry to hear you're under the weather! I hope you get better soon :) And I love that tooth fairy pillow, so cute!!
Feel better!
I'm sending virtual chicken soup and hugs!
Feel better! I love the tooth fairy pillow's buck teeth. :)
Love it all, am getting a kick out of the village posts! Can't wait for house #3!
The tooth fairy is great! Hope you feel better soon x
I'm commenting on here because your Ruby-baby post has too many to be noticed! Love that post--and fun to see pix of the new little family with beautiful Ruby. I saw that you had a cold--but even so you seem to get so much done (today has been a lay on the bed day, although I did go down to OC to have lunch with my son first). Must be because you're so young.
So get well, because I know you have a lot you want to accomplish.
