Really Random Thursday, 9/15/22

The weather has turned blessedly cooler this week! When I sit outside in the morning with my first cup of coffee, I actually have to wear a light jacket. Finally...

I could write a long post about all the sewing I've been doing, and I will try to catch up on that shortly. Other than that, not a lot happened in the last week.

Last Friday, we had donuts with grandkids at their elementary school, a once-a-year event that is always fun. There is always a photographer who takes (usually awful) photos and the kids were adamant that we not stand in line for that. So after we had our Krispy Kreme donut, we just chose a wall and took our own photos.

Ruby and Amelia's grandparents were out of town, so Jason's brother, Mike, stood in as Grandpa.

Christa's mother, Debbie, was able to attend as well.

We did a little refresh in our main bathroom. I still need to complete a couple more details, but I'm really happy with the new look.

And that's all, folks...

Our littles school has grandfriends day. It was so cute to see all the kids with someone, proudly showing off their school. I did my 1st grade grand daughter and my husband did our 5th grade grandson. What a fun thing it was. I wish I had thought to take a photo. I can't wait to see more of your quilts! You are on fire!

The photos of you with the grandkids after donuts with them turned out great; just look at those large smiles they have. And your bathroom looks so calming!

Special days with the grands. Can't believe how big Ella is now. When we met she was just a baby. Enjoy the cooler temps. It's cooling off here too.

The cooler temps are certainly welcomed. Looks like a fun day at school. Your bath looks really pretty.

I've only been to ONE grandparents day, and it included a free lunch in the cafeteria, which we dutifully wolfed down in under 10 minutes so Maddy could go and play with her friends. So, we "away" grandmas all love your photos of you and your grandkids, especially if you were able to get free donuts.

Love the bathroom! You are so smart to do a refresh--it's easy to get stale and you remind me that I need to look around and do some upgrading.
