Choose Your Own Block-Along, 2/9/15

I have had the hardest time keeping up with the weekly linky lately.

Things are going VERY slowly with the new hexagon millefiori quilt-along with Katja Marek. I'm glue-basting all the pieces. Actually I have only ever done the hexagon shape, and not even very much of that. I admire all the beautiful rosettes I have seen posted.

I have the center of the first rosette done, part of the January rosette. There are quite a few rounds on this one, and I have only the first round glue-basted. I think Carla will probably finish the rosette for February (!) before I even get this round done for January!

And I'm working with some fun solids from Timeless Treasures, along with black and white stripes.
What have you been up to?

I'm so impressed with your fussy cutting on the rosette pieces! That's an amazing pattern! I admire you for quilting along.

I agree with Rene' . It will be fabulous. Enjoy the process Cindy. It will be worth it : )

I am so tempted to buy the book and the starter package for the rosettes. Am I nuts to begin another project? I love your Timeless Treasures project! Great secondary pattern with the high contrast!

I think your hexies will be gorgeous--love the colors you've chosen. And that Timeless Treasures block set is terrific! Way to go!

You have far more patience than I to even get that far!

Between you, Elizabeth and Carla I'm awfully tempted to try the Millefiore quilt along but need to hold back. I have a mountain of other things to do.

Good luck with the rosette-along!

Love the colors you chose for your millefiori quilt. I have cut out my first round of the first rosette and am in the middle of glue basting. I think picking out the fabric was the hardest part.
