For years I have hoarded this precious "paint by number" fabric by Erin Michael. My parents got me some for my 60th birthday, and it was already an older line back then. I could never decide how best to showcase the fabric. After much thought I decided on the Hidden Agenda pattern by Angela Pingel. This is the third time I have made it, and it's a great one for highlighting large pieces of precious fabric.
The thing is, once I get started on a project like this, I steamroll through until it's complete. I made all the square-in-a-square blocks first.
It's a messy job.I'm super happy with how it turned out.
I also made this little bag.
I had pretty much depleted my vinyl stock at Christmas, so I replenished.
Aside from the message, this gives me Valentine's vibes.
And that's it for the first month of the year.

I love your quilt. It's great the way it showcases all those prints. That's what stymied me when that fabric came out. I didn't buy any because I couldn't figure out how to use it. You did and awesome job with this one Cindy.
I am so glad that you are happy with how the square in a square blocks and the Hidden Agenda quilt came together with your paint by number fabric!
I've never seen that paint by number fabric before. I love the way you incorporated into a lovely quilt. It's so wonderful to showcase a special fabric like that. Your new collection of vinyls is just yummy. Hopefully we'll see projects you complete with those. A great January! Way to start off the year.
Wow! You did a great job with the paint by number fabric. I would have struggled with how best to use it too! I never saw it before. Love your new vinyl. Where did you find the clear vinyl with the prints? I haven't seen that before either!!
That was a great pattern choice for your precious paint-by-number fabric. I hoarded the floral line drawing print for ages. Used it here and there until there's just a little left. Certain fabrics are like that aren't they? But it's so so nice when we finally put them to use. That's what they're for. Great little bag too.
