First of all, the winner of the Chevron Accent Throw quilt pattern is Judi, who said:
I've never made a chevron quilt, but it's on my list of things to do. I
agree with you - I love that it's an uneven chevron. How fun would it
be to do this in Charlie Brown colors :)
I think this quilt done in Charlie Brown colors is a genius idea! Judi, I have forwarded your contact information and you should receive your quilt pattern shortly.
A few weeks ago I participated in Lindsay's Craft Book Month series, making a selvage bucket from Sunday Morning Quilts. Lindsay is featured on the Stash Books blog today, along with a recap of the projects made from Stash Books.
I have many Stash books in my craft library. What about you? Do you have a lot of books? Do you just read them, or do you make projects from them?
I hope you have a wonderful weekend. It's supposed to cool down here in the Central Valley of California. That can't happen soon enough for me!

That chevron quilt is so beautiful!
I have lots of books and love to read but only few quilting books.
Congrats to Judi.
I have way too many books which I 'look at' more than 'make from'; but they are so beautiful I cannot resist!
I have collected quite a few sewing books over the years, and hate to admit I haven't made anything from most of them {although I do enjoy reading through them}. I have just gone through my collection to discard as many as possible because they have outgrown their alloted shelf space {I am donating a bunch to our local library} I have come to realize that the books I enjoy and use the most are ones that teach me a technique which I can apply to my own creations, as opposed to just a collection of patterns to follow as written.
I have plenty of books but get inspiration from everywhere! I'm probably like Allison- use them for a technique rather than the whole pattern! They are still lovely to own though!
I only have a few books, but I've made at least one thing from most of them. I have a LONG list of projects I want to make. Someone needs to invent a three day work week ;-)
Too many books, but I only use my new ones! Love Sunday morning ; )
I have so many Stash Books on my bookshelf, and there are always more that I want to add! hehe
We are working on home inventory for hurricane purposes. I had my granddaughter use my iPad app, home library, to catalog my quilt books. So far 252 and there is still a stack! Fun thing is to regenerate some ideas than have been taken over by the new stuff. Since I inherited my mom's stash I found I don't have many stash books... Time to add those!
I do have a few Stash books. That's my fave quilt book publisher. Mostly I collect online tutorials. What I actually make are blocks for my bee and swaps and, currently, EPP hexy projects.
