Kids will be out of school soon and we have already hit triple digits here in Fresno. Not quite ready for that yet...
So what's been happening around here?
I'm still doing a lot of sewing, and these will all soon be headed to be quilted.
I ordered some labels from Zipper Valley and they updated me with these emails, which each made me smile.

This was my Mother's Day gift.
I counted the quilts in the house made by me. And then conducted a poll. And the answer was....103!
Do you do a lot of sewing in summer? Or look for something cooler?

Oh yes, that heat!!! Not really ready for a long hot summer. Would also like to find the volume knob for the wind!! Love your quilts. Thought the first looks planned, it could easily be made of orphan blocks! I love the black sheep. And all the doors in the jigsaw puzzle really are lovely. I will keep quilting in the summer. We'll see how far I get.
I would like to get back into a more regular sewing rhythm this summer, but at this point, who knows what life has in store. Those shipping notifications are delightful; that's fun customer service!
Golly, you've sure finished a lot of quilt tops! Good work. School has been out here for several weeks, but that makes no impact on my life. I'm still sewing, and domestic machine quilting. And round loom knitting (a new, favorite pastime). And as of last week I'm diamond painting too! So many fun crafts and hobbies to keep up with! That's why I've been lax about reading blog posts. But I can't miss posts from a friend like you. I enjoy seeing what books you've read. I just finished a Frieda McFadden book that knocked my socks off - "The Housemaid." Excellent, if you haven't already read it. I also fell in love with a Nicholas Sparks book - "Counting Miracles." There are simply too many wonderful things to spend my time on, and I'm struggling to do them all!
Wow! You're sure getting a lot accomplished in the quilting department. I'm slowly working on binding a stack of quilts. I told myself I couldn't start a new one till this piles is completely done. The order emails from the zipper shop were brilliant. What a great idea. Could you send me a photo of the flower puzzle box? I love it and would like to put it one on my puzzle list. I mostly only do them right after Christmas during Jan/Feb but I do online puzzles almost every night on my laptop.
I'm so impressed with your: puzzling, your stack of finished-quilts-still-at-home, and your reading. Do you think if I listened to books more, I might get more quilting done? I love the quilts you are sending off, especially that sheepy one. I admire your stamina at crushing through that one; I did a cactus quilt in the same style and almost had no patience for it in the end. I love seeing all these completed quilts!
