I'm going to hand quilt it with perle cotton and if I can somehow get it done by the end of the month, I think I'll submit it to C&T Publishing, which has a call for submissions to celebrate its 30th anniversary with a book on Amish and Amish-inspired quilts.
Bad lighting--the black really is black...
Gabriel turned 11 months. And I finished Ruby's 8-month postcard too, but I haven't sent it yet so you are only subjected to one bad poem.
You still have time to comment for a chance to win a pattern by Cluck Cluck Sew.Thanks, Lee, for hosting us again this week. Welcome back!

Hand quilting sounds like the perfect touch for your fab quilt!
I love the postcard idea - so sweet. What a lovely Grandma you are!
Ooh, hope you get it done in time for the submission, good luck!
Love the Narwhal lol
Wouldn't that be fun to submit your quilt. It's gorgeous and the hand quilting will be the icing on the cake!
That would be an excellent quilt to submit. Here's wishing you speedy fingers!
Your Amish quilt is looking lovely. I'm submitting one too but it's an older one that I made up when Roberta Horton first had her book out.
And I'm loving your postcards, even though you say they are "bad rhymes." Not so, Shakespeare!!

Goodness, if that isn't the MOST perfect quilt for submission to that book! I hope you get it finished in time! sweet postcard :)
What a cool project to enter into that call for submissions! I always love your quilty postcards too. I can just imagine how great it will be for the grandkids to have a full set when they are adults.
Love your Amish Granny quilt!! Good luck with the submission. You can do it!! Also excited to see your other quilt project.
The quilt is so awesome! I hope you make your deadline. That will be great!
That is so sweet that you send those postcards to your grandkids. My parents send a monthly package to mine with a handwritten note, a book, and a few craft supplies and my kids look forward to it every month!
Looks really good. Hope you can submit it for the Amish book. Good luck.
Your quilt is very lovely and colorful!
YES! Do it! I love this quilt!
I love your quilt - I'm so looking forward to seeing it quilted with the perle.

I am crazy about your Amish granny. I have a whole book on Amish quilts but have yet to make one
