Really Random

Fall is in the air. Even at Starbucks. The new card has braille on the top.
I'm sure it is saying "pumpkin latte, please..."

This came in the mail from my very good friend, Terri. We share a love of all things Anna Maria Horner. Thank you, Terri! (You really should check out Terri's etsy shop, Patchwork Trails!)
Oh Shoot!, week one: Shutter speed.
I'm sure Christina (Christina's new pattern here)  and Anne (Film and Thread) are glad I'm finally taking a photography class so I can try to get answers from someone else instead of asking them so many...

Who knew a little dial could make so much difference?

This week: All About Aperture.

From the moment he walked on the stage of America's Got Talent (yes, our kids roll their eyes whenever we mention that we watch AGT, but hey, it always has the highest ratings every week), I was hoping carwasher Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr., would win the big prize. He took the gum out of his mouth and put it in his pocket, and from then on he performed flawlessly. And DID win the big prize!

And you have until 6 p.m. PDT for a chance at winning some Aurifil thread.

Carry on with the randomness...

  2. Yay, happy to hear you're learning some fun things in your photography class. Then you can teach me a thing or two when you come visit.

Happy you like your new bag! It was a pleasure making it just for you.

I saw that cool Fall card at Starbucks... when I was ordering my pumpkin spice latte - DELISH!

  4. I admit it. I don't watch AGT either. But I watched that film clip all the way through and I cried when he did! Great afternoon happy face time over here.

    Thanks!

And congrats on the photo class--I taught my husband the shutter speed thing when we were watching the Yellowstone waterfalls and he loved it. (I worked in the photo lab at UCR for several years and took a bunch of classes.) I like reading about it again--brings it all back.

    Again--thanks for the AGT clip.
    Happy Face! :)

  5. I should have taken a class years ago, instead I shelved the camera and now use a "regular" digital. Terri's bag is adorable and the thread looks yummy!
