*If you are looking for the Aurifil thread giveaway, it's here.
And it's Wednesday already? I keep having that same thought every.single.week.
For some odd reason, I have never included my Farmer's Wife Sampler blocks on WIP Wednesday. Probably because Carla and I are doing Farmer's Wife Friday, and we post each week on (you guessed it) Friday. Did it really take me all these weeks to think, "Hmmmm, not everybody from Wednesday reads Farmer's Wife Friday"? Well, yes it did.
So here is a sampling of the sampler. Carla and I are doing the blocks by following the letters in the book sequentially, making the corresponding blocks, and adding our thoughts on the letters each week. I'm doing my blocks in shot cottons and Kona snow, trying to choose the colors either based on something that caught my attention in the letter, or based on the name of the block itself. Carla is doing her blocks in cheery prints.
We would love to have you join us on Fridays. Now I'm heading off to see what everyone else has been working on this week.

You are the first person I've seen do them in solids. They are lovely. They just pop on the Kona Snow!
I think the solids were a really great choice for this. It makes the blocks look so crisp, especially since some are quite complex patterns.
I love that you did them in solids. It makes the focus on the blocks. Very nice!
Love the look of shot cottons in these blocks.
lovely blocks! will be a great quilt!
I too really like that you decided to do these in solids. They are really beautiful in a group!
Those are looking great, Cindy!
it's gorgeous!!!
Your blocks look great all together, and I really like how you are using all solids. one day I might join in this qal, once my plate is a bit emptier! Thanks for sharing with the WIP crew!
I follow your blog so I've seen the Friday posts as well, but I wanted to let you know that of all the FW blocks I've seen, I like yours in solids/shot cottons the best. I don't have the patience for this QA, but I love seeing your blocks each week.
Your blocks look great! Love the shot cottons you are using.
I'll say it again, I really love the way the solids look with this quilt -so clean and crisp! Really makes the block designs shine :)
I've been following your Friday posts and really enjoy them. Probably should have commented to let you know.
They look gorgeous. So pretty and cheery, lovely colors and all together truly stunning!
