Happy Thanksgiving

These make me particularly happy--green, yellow and red, all close together.

This time of year, always near Thanksgiving, I'm so thankful for the beautiful trees all around town. We do get fall color--it just takes us a bit longer.

We saw this car the other day--entire covered in pennies!

Our sister-in-law has been traveling in Egypt. I love this photo of her.

I don't think we have ever decorated for Christmas before Thanksgiving, but that's what happened this year.

Levi and Mark (this year, mostly Levi) hang the outside lights.
Gabe and Ella help decorate the tree.

I had these cute snowflakes in a box and Gabe had the great idea of hanging them from our new light fixture.

Truth!

Charlotte and I painted her room for the third time, but at least this time it was a different room. This one used to belong to Gabe and Levi, then Gabe and Ella. Now everyone has their own room.

Before:
It's hard to accurately photograph, but it's a really nice shade of gray.
We are a great team. She had already taped everything off (the worst part, in my opinion). Then I cut everything in while she does all the roller work. We completed the entire room in under three hours!

I am feeling very thankful for family and friends. I hope wherever you are, you have a lovely weekend.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving. I love that you and Charlotte are such a good team for things. And it always amazes me to se how grown up and helpful Levi is. Gosh he's gotten tall these past few years. Even your littles are growing quickly.

Happy Thanksgiving AND Happy Birthday!! You and Charlotte make a good painting team. I don't like painting at all and am happy to let someone else do it.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving spoiling those grandkids. You and Charlotte do such a wonderful job painting. You could form a business. I wonder about the car with all the pennies! The colors of the trees are beautiful. Thank you for sharing.

No wonder you love seeing the gorgeous tree colors against that blue sky! I do too. Simply glorious! Why would anyone cover a car with pennies? Must be a story behind that. At the very least, the car must weigh a whole lot more than it originally did! Nice that you have young helpers with decorating. Hmm. Guess that's why we don't decorate... no young help. So nice that you and Charlotte could share quality time doing something worthwhile too. Her bedroom looks nice, and it's great to see the two of you together. I'm sure you had a lovely Thanksgiving too. Enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend!

I agree with Mary (above). I'm totally impressed that you are up and down on ladders, painting. You win Best Grandma Award.
The colors are beautiful, and Happy Thanksgiving to you, belatedly! (And no, you don't have to answer any of these comments.)
